Eirik Brænd Hjelmeland

Eirik joined Viking Growth in 2021 and currently serves as an Investment Director. As a member of the Investment Team, he focuses on the Norwegian and Finnish markets, covering the full investment lifecycle from deal sourcing and evaluation to transaction execution. He works closely with founders and management teams to assess high-growth software companies and support investment decisions.

In addition to his investment responsibilities, Eirik plays a key role in portfolio development and value creation. He is actively involved at the board level, serving as Chairman and board member of several portfolio companies, where he supports strategic direction, operational improvements, and long-term growth initiatives.

Prior to joining Viking Growth, Eirik worked in KPMG Deal Advisory, specializing in commercial due diligence for Nordic private equity firms. In this role, he developed strong analytical skills and gained extensive experience evaluating investment opportunities across a range of industries. He began his career at PA Consulting as a management consultant, advising clients on strategy and operational performance.

Eirik holds an MSc in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH).
