Ove Bugten

Ove is an Investment Associate at Viking Growth, where he is part of the deal sourcing team, focusing on identifying and evaluating investment opportunities across the Nordic region. In this role, he supports the firm’s investment pipeline by analyzing high-growth software companies and engaging with founders and management teams.

He began his career at Viking Growth as an intern and has since contributed to both the deal sourcing and Operational Excellence teams. Through this experience, he has gained exposure to portfolio monitoring, operational analysis, and value creation initiatives across the firm’s investments.

Prior to joining Viking Growth, Ove worked as a Credit Analyst in Oslo, where he developed a strong foundation in financial analysis and risk assessment. He also gained experience in mergers and acquisitions through part-time work at SJ Corporate and completed an internship as a Management Consultant at Arkwright Consulting, supporting clients on strategic and operational projects.

Ove has lived in the UK, USA, and France, bringing an international perspective to his work. He holds an MSc in Finance from the Norwegian School of Economics (NHH), including exchange studies at UC Berkeley and ESSEC Business School, and a BSc in Informatics from NTNU.
